Today, we celebrate a momentous milestone—123 years since Paul Harris first gathered with friends in Chicago to form an organization based on fellowship and service. From that single room, Rotary has grown into a global network of 1.4 million members dedicated to tackling the world’s most persistent challenges. We, the 1616 Rotarians and 565 Rotaractors, 75 Rotary clubs, 4 satellite clubs and 44 Rotaract clubs, today is our day of celebration.
As your District Governor, I am honored to lead a team that continues to embody the spirit of “Unite for Good.” Let us reflect on our performance. Our clubs deserve better.
On this 123rd anniversary, I ask you to:
Reflect on our incredible legacy of, from eradicating polio to promoting peace and improving local communities. Polio is back in District 9210.It is in Malawi and Zambia. We need to Unite in the fight.
Celebrate the friendships and fellowship that make our work rewarding.
Act by dedicating a project or an act of service this week in honor of our birthday. Act in ensuring membership growth. Act in investing in the Rotary Foundation. Every Rotarian Every Year give only $100. Unite in servicing the community through projects.
Our, “Unite for Good,” is more than a theme; it is a call to action. It reminds us that our strength lies in our unity. When we join, we turn challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality.
Thank you for your dedication, your passion, and your unwavering commitment to “Service Above Self.” Let us continue to inspire, serve, and build a brighter future together.
Happy 123rd Anniversary, Rotary!
